MILLING

The surface milling process is one stage of the modernisation and renovation of roads constructed with a bitumen pavement. Our milling machines remove ruts and worn layers to the required depth and fall, as well as other deformations, and leave a surface that is immediately available for traffic or for reinforcing by laying the required bitumen layers. The milling spoil is suitable for reuse as an additive in aggregate-cement-emulsified bitumen mixtures or for further processing in bitumen mastic plants. Surface milling is implemented using advanced milling machines manufactured by WIRTGEN. We offer a wide mix of milling machines featuring various widths of milling drums as well as milling machines with fine-milling drums.

Fine milling is an innovative method of improving road pavement quality, specifically helpful for roads that require immediate renovation as a consequence of traffic hazards. Contrary to traditional milling, the pavement after fine milling is suitable for traffic use.

This technology proves the best for the following cases:

  • Removal of pavements having insufficient surface roughness,
  • Substrate adherence upgrading,
  • Elimination of the effects of pavement creeping (ruts, swellings) and other irregularities,
  • Restoring regular roadway inclination profiles,
  • Removal of surface courses (e.g. to be able to load a new bitumen layer),
  • Removal of pavement markings.

We are highly mobile and responsive to any type of requirement.
